Keppel Land: Largely Improved Management Efficiency and Ensured the Clarity of Procurement Process

Keppel Land, the real estate division of Keppel Corporation in Singapore manages a landbank of about 39,000 homes and 1.7 million square meters of floor area spanning Singapore, China, Vietnam, Indonesia and other countries. Keppel Land continues to shape cityscape and user experience with quality homes, green offices and malls, as well as integrated developments.

With increasing expansion and demands in cost and risk control, Keppel’s management platform requires a major update. It mainly has 3 pain points:

1. Lacking business control

• Procurement & Cost procedures were not unified across
• Lacking control & supervision in procurement process

2. Lacking supplier management

• Required a comprehensive management system of supplier
• Need to control whole process of supplier risk by integrating supplier quality, blacklist, validity, supplier executor etc

3. Offline management

• Cost progress were controlled manually offline, causing difficulties to track historical cost & procurement data

With a few rounds of discussion, MytePro specialists proposed a set of solution focusing on data visualization, business management optimization, and efficiency improvement. Auxiliary means including staff training, digital tools, customization development were also implemented. The set of solution comprehensively solved SHKP’s demands in data, procedures, efficiency and financial integration.

Spanning over 2 years, Keppel Cost & Procurement Management Platform upgrade successfully went fully online in February 2021. This upgrade transferred 24 of all 30 procurement & costing steps online, which largely improved management efficiency and ensured clarity of procurement process.
